TIME TO CALL WIKE TO ORDER.
The National Chairman of National Rescue Movement, NRM Mr Isaac Udeh said it was unfair for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to continue being a clog in the wheel of Rivers State progress by fighting the Governor of Rivers, Siminalayi Fubara, over control of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state. The National Chairman of the NRM, Isaac Udeh, stated this on Sunday in an interview El-zion Global Network News in Abuja.Udeh expressed disappointment over the rivalry between the governor and his estranged godfather, saying it was the cause of the current political crisis rocking the state. His concerns come five days after the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Chief Edwin Clark, called for the expulsion of Wike from the PDP.Clark, in an open letter to the acting National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagum, urged him to summon courage and kick out the FCT minister from the party if they hope to be taken seriously as a formidable opposition party.Udeh, speaking on Sunday with our correspondent, said, “Wike should leave Fubara alone. When he was a governor and the leader of the party in Rivers State, his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, was not in charge of the party. It was Wike who was in charge because of his position as a sitting governor. He cannot finish as a governor and still claim to remain the party leader in the state. This is abnormal and it is unacceptable.“He should leave Governor Fubara alone. The man has good intentions for the people of Rivers State. That is why we, at the NRM Party, are solidly behind him because he is doing extremely well for his people. Wike is the Minister of the FCT. He should concentrate on his duty.“When Amaechi was Minister of Transport, he concentrated on his ministry in Abuja throughout, without disturbing Wike. Why should he be disturbing Fubara now? I want to use this medium to urge the people of Rivers to rise in total solidarity for the performing, young and vibrant Governor Fubara to move the state forward. He reiterated that it's time to call Wike to order.
