The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has recovered about N39.8 Billion out of the N44.8 Billion allegedly siphoned by suspended NSIPA boss, Halima Shehu.
According to reports by our Reporters the anti graft agency made the recovery on the heels of investigations into corruption allegations leveled against the ministry.
Recall that Dockaysworld reported news of Halima Shehu’s suspension by President Bola Tinubu.
She is been accused of gross mismanagement of public funds to the tune of N44. 8 billion, which was reportedly transferred from ministry’s account in five days between 27th and 31st December 2023.
The money was transferred without the approval of the President, the Federal Executive Council or the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, reports say.
Halima is currently been investigated by men of the EFCC over her role in the financial crime.
